國際兒童節於2015年6月1日舉行。瑞士日內瓦世界兒童福祉大會宣佈6月1日為1925年國際兒童節。會後，世界各國政府决定宣佈當天是兒童節，以引起對兒童問題的關注。許多國家選擇6月1日，所以這就是為什麼國際兒童節將在6月1日舉行的原因。
