典故來自於《伊索寓言》，

一隻狐狸指著一個比較高處的地方說：「這些葡萄都是酸的，不能吃。」

事實上葡萄沒有酸，只是因為太高了所以牠拿不到。

比喻因為妒忌而貶低自己得不到的東西，就是酸葡萄心態啦！

John messed up a job interview and he said that he didn’t want the job in the first place. I think it’s just sour grapes.

John把面試考砸了，但他說是它不想要這個工作的，我想他這是吃不到葡萄說葡萄酸吧！
